36 hours to Star Wars!* I'm trying desperately not to read/listen to reviews of Revenge of the Sith. Which is silly, because we know how it ends. But if there's anything even slightly surprising, I'd like to be surprised.
When I saw the original Star Wars, lo these many years ago, my cousin, who had already seen it (or so I thought), told me Luke died in the movie. I spent the whole damn movie waiting for Luke to die (and being somewhat bummed about it, because I was really into little blue-eyed, blond-haired teen idol types at the time, which is sad, because I could have been lusting over the so-much-hotter Harrison Ford the entire time, but I didn't figure that out until the second movie). So the actual end of the movie took me by surprise. But that's not the kind of surprise I want. And then when I saw The Sixth Sense, I had already heard there was a "surprise ending." I don't like knowing there is a surprise ending. That makes it not a surprise. If I hadn't been expecting it, I wouldn't have figured it out, and I truly would have been surprised. But no. When you're looking for the "surprise," it's too easy to figure it out.
Anyway, now it's 35 hours and 51 minutes* to Star Wars. Yay!
I wonder if Luke and Annakin's mom has already seen it? I'm guessing yes.
*Assuming about 30 minutes of pre-movie commercials.
